Frequently Asked Questions.
FAQ’s
What types of therapy do you practice?
Most often the types of therapy that I practice are Client-Centered Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy (neurodiversity affirming), and Brainspotting (BSP). I love these modalities because many clients find them to be gentle and efficient, while allowing them to unmask and be comfortable as themselves. These therapeutic technique are more conversational and less monotone- which makes our time together a lot easier!
What are your fees?
My standard session fees are $125 per one hour session. You can come weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc. in order to fit therapy into both what you can afford, and how much time you have available.
Do you have sliding scale slots available?
I offer a few sliding scale slots for clients. They are offered on a first come, first serve basis. If you think you are needing a sliding scale slot, just ask! I’ll happily let you know what I’ve got available.
Do you work with minors?
I do work with a limited number of minors (virtually) on a first come, first serve basis.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not! I am strictly a private pay therapist primarily to…
1. Best protect your confidentiality
2. Avoid having you receive pricey “after the fact” bills months after you complete sessions.
3. Create a custom treatment plan tailored specifically to your individual concerns- not the issues insurance thinks you need to work on.
4. Provide the best quality care on a timeline that fits your needs safely! No 10 session maximums. Come as often or as little as your needs require.
What is your availability like?
Currently I have availability for assessments, am on a short waitlist for adult therapy clients, and a moderate waitlist for minor therapy clients. My availability is continually changing, so reaching out for a consultation can give you a more updated idea of how long my current waitlist is!
I work, what do your hours look like?
I see clients from 11am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are available on a case by case basis. If you have a need for a specific time, just ask! I may be able to make accommodations.
Do you have a cancellation policy? How much notice do I have to give?
I require a 24 hour notice for any cancelled or changed appointments. Any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or no shows, will be charged the full session fee.
I don’t know if I have any specific mental health disorders, can you help me find out?
Absolutely! I am comfortable helping clients navigate through questions they may have regarding a specific diagnosis. I also work closely with several psychologists who can assist with psychological testing, should you want to pursue that option.
Is an assessment the same as psychological testing?
Nope! The initial assessment session is only to get to know you, assess your history, and complete paperwork. Psychological testing is far more extensive and typically conducted by a psychologist.
